Clark spends half the episode mourning over KentFan's death. Wait, what? Oh, that was just fanfic? My bad. Clark completely and totally doesn't even remember KentFan in this episode about football. Clark meets Geoff, who looks just like Luke from The O.C. (hey, he should say hi to Adam Brody for Chloe, and for Lane on Gilmore Girls), the star quarterback for the Metropolis University Bulldogs.
The school wants Clark to sign a letter of intent. They have groupie sorority girls, Cadillac Escalades, and vaguely unenthusiastic head coaches waiting for him. Unfortunately, Clark's college shenanigans coincide with a drunken night Lois Lane spent not sleeping with ten guys. Instead, she just drank them under the table, and when one dared to touch her on the shoulder, she kicked him in the chest, apparently causing total body paralysis.
Turns out Lois isn't to blame (not for this, at least). O.C. Luke has the power to paralyze people, which he does to protect the secret of his Smallville-born powers. Clark stops O.C. Luke from killing Lois and learns his lesson: he'd better give up football before he gets tempted by riches, kills to protect his secret, and, God forbid, gets served chocolate cake, lemonade, and fellatio from college chicks.
Meanwhile, Chloe keeps hinting strongly that she knows Clark's secret, but he's too dense to figure that out. Also, Lex -- who's kinda sorta still on the show -- still wants Jason to work for him. But mostly he just wants to protect Lana. He drops a bombshell on her: Jason has known about that Countess Thoreaux lady since he was a tiny babe at Jane Seymour's tata. Lana freaks out.
Wow. More about Lana's tattoo. This totally beats keeping KentFan around for a few more episodes.

At the University of Metropolis at a frat party, Lois is having a drinking contest and winning when one of the students, Geoff, tries to break it up. Lois' opponent Coop passes out He manages to stagger out after her as she leaves and she's forced to get rough. The next morning she wakes up with a hangover and is arrested by the police, who say she paralyzed the boy.
Clark is off to Metropolis and is escorted by Geoff, a former Smallville player. Lois is out on bail thanks to Chloe, who starts hinting at Clark's "amazing talents." And Jason and Lex have another meeting about Genevieve and wonder about her worldwide travels and her investigation about Isabelle. And Lois and Chloe check out the paralyzed student and get a lead on his girlfriend.
Clark gets a hero's welcome at Metropolis Stadium his own jersey, a marching band, a grateful alumni corporate booster, and sorority girls. While up in the girls' room, Clark finds Lois in a closet and gets a moment alone she's discovered Coop was meeting with a reporter. At the hospital, Geoff visits Coop, who is starting to come out of his paralysis, and smothers him.
Clark and Lois go to check things out and meet Geoff, who breaks the bad news about Coop. In return Lois reveals what they know about Coop and the reporter. Lana and Jason discuss Lex's investigation into Genevieve and Lana isn't happy, then confronts Lex who warns her she might not want to hear what he has to say. During Coop's wake, Clark overhears Geoff talking with a guy, Marcus, who helped him with a urine test and witness Geoff momentarily paralyze the guy. Clark tells everything to Chloe and Lois, and Lois confronts Marcus and Geoff confronts her. He paralyzes and kidnaps her as Chloe realizes she's missing and tells Clark. They get hold of Geoff's computer car system code to track him down.
Geoff prepares to drown the paralyzed Lois in the sewers but Clark catches up to Geoff. Fortunately Clark is immune to Geoff's powers and after capturing him rescues Lois. Clark is forced to reconsider his own career as a football player after seeing the pressure Geoff was under. Lex reveals to Lana that Jason and Genevieve met the day before Lana met Jason, and that Jason has been aware of Isabelle for a while. Lois is kicked out of the university and Clark ends up taking her into the Kent household. At school, Chloe reveals she got her scholarship and is impressed that Clark dropped out of football.

Geoff: Dude, you've had enough.
Football player: I'm not even tipsy a--wipe.
Clark (to Jonathan): You always told me not to back away from something just because it's a challenge.
Lex (to Jason): You're not the threat I'm worried about, it's your mother.
Lois: Maybe someone close to Coop knows something we don't.
Chloe: Lois, I don't think that from Grandma Betty from Topeka is going to have the answer.
Sorority girl (to Clark): From what we hear, not only do you have an incredible arm, you have great hands.
Lana (to Jason): How can I trust someone who's willing to lie for a living?
Lana: Who the hell do you think you are?
Lex: Something bothering you, Lana?
Lex (to Lana): You have to ask yourself Lana, how well do you really know Jason Teague.
Lois (to Marcus): Don't play dumb with me, pee-wee.
Clark: Lois. Whoever thought I'd be relieved to hear your voice.
Lois (to Clark): Don't worry Smallville. I'll try to keep it under a half hour.
Chloe (to Clark): I'm proud of you Clark... I just have a feeling that you're destined for more on this world than to score touchdowns.
Clark: What makes you so sure I'm destined for anything?
Chloe: Just a hunch.

Gabe Sullivan is still out of work? Why didn't Lex give him his job back, or at least have him un-blacklisted?
Among the "Canada-isms," when they were in the streets of Metropolis, there was a TD Waterhouse in the background. Toronto Dominion Bank dosen't have a branch in Kansas. Also at one point a Canadian postal truck (easily identified by its red color) drove by going the other direction.
So in the middle of a crowded parking lot, nobody sees Geoff drag a limp Lois into his van. Most campuses tend to keep an eye out for stuff like that.
Clark was afraid a physical might expose his secret. To join a sports team you have to take a physical...how did Clark take and pass his when he joined the high school team?
Another "Canadism" - the football field used as Metropolis U stadium is obviously a CFL (Canadian Football League) field. It's 110 yards instead of the normal 100 in the NFL and NCAA. The goalposts are in the middle of the endzones (which are also bigger here than the NFL and NCAA size) as opposed to behind. And finally, the goalposts used are of a pro-league style, as opposed to the college "H" shape.
When Geoff is driving Clark to the stadium through what appears to be heavy downtown traffic, he spends the entire conversation looking at Clark and almost never looks in front of him.
Lois is somehow able to visit the hospital room of her "victim," an individual she supposedly attacked and paralyzed. No hospital or police would let her near the person she's accused of attacking and there's no indication she sneaked in.
When Coop dies, none of the monitors he's hooked up to give any kind of alert even though it's clear they're still on him, registering his heart beat, etc.
Why would Clark have to pretend to be Geoff to find out where the truck was. As long as they had the password the operator will tell you the info. They don't have voice recognition requirements before they give out info.

Jonathan and Clark discuss Clark's trek to Metropolis to meet with the scholarship thing, and Jonathan warns him to keep away from the beer kegs, which is a big anvil that says there will be something involving booze in this episode. Jason meets up with Lex regarding Lex's "job offer." Lex says something to Jason about how his mother (Jason's mother, that is) has been travelling around the globe to strange and out-of-the-way places for years. Basically, Lex knows about the Madelyn Isobel Thoreux thing, he knows about Lana's possession and tie to the witch, and he knows that Genevieve Teague has been on a crusade for information too. Lex wants to know everything that Lana and Genevieve know about things, and he wants Jason to help him find out. Jason accepts Lex's offer, which surprises Lana. Lana thinks that Lex is really only after one thing - "to break us up." Because it's All About Lana here. Lana confronts Lex about the deal Lex has made with Jason, and makes a comment about how everything is a secret with Lex. I thought it was Clark she usually accused of secrets! Chloe and Clark do some investigator-ing to find out where to find Geoff, by calling an Autostar GPS service type deal to get his car's location. At scene's end, Clark does his speeding off thing, but instead of looking confused as usual, Chloe just has a knowing look. She definitely knows what's going on now. It seems Geoff is a meteor freak who uses his powers to win in the Metropolis college football game. This revelation, of course, makes Clark reconsider the whole football thing for himself. Lois gets into a very wet situation that Clark must rescue her from. Lex shows Lana a portfolio that includes pictures of Genevieve and Jason from the day before Jason and Lana met. This would explain why Lex immediately did not like him, since Genevieve was supposedly in the Hamptons when those two met. Lex tells Lana of some other revelations involving Jason's interest in the Countess, but you'll have to wait until the episode airs to see what those would be. Clark makes an important decision involving his future with football. When he tells Chloe, she seems proud and happy. She says several very strange things to Clark that imply she knows what's going on with him, which makes Clark very uneasy. At one point he asks her "What makes you think that?" and she grins with a "Just a hunch." Chloe definitely knows here. Lois visits Clark in the barn, and tells him that he really should consider a door, because in the city "there's this thing called privacy." Lois also has a new living situation by the end of this episode.
The teaser starts with Lois in a Metropolis University dorm with an inebriated football player named Coop. He's wearing Met-U boxers. Lois and Coop are going to have a drinking game, to see who can out-drink the other. Lois warns him he's not playing with Susie Sorority here, and he tells her to stop talking and start drinking. Lois slugs down her drink like apple juice. Coop winces. "What's the matter? Need a cracker to keep it down?" Another football player enters the room. He's the charismatic senior star tailback of the team, and his name is Geoff Johns. We're wondering if this name is going to stay, and if he does, we wonder if this guy knows the Flash. As Lois and Coop leave, Coop says "I've got another game for you," and wants a kiss. Lois says "I've got a game for you, Football. It's called hide and go seek. I'll hide, and you count to a billion." Coop still tries to go after Lois, and she hits him. Hard. But soon after Lois leaves him, Coop is approached by someone else and presumably attacked. Who? That would ruin the episode, wouldn't it? Clark is visiting Metropolis University and meets Geoff Johns and two of the school's sorority girls. As he's getting a tour, guess who is hiding in the closet? Yep, Clark's favorite person... Lois! There's a scene of Clark playing football alongside the Metropolis Bulldogs with Geoff & co. The coach, Calloway, gives Clark a blue and white jersey, and says "I'm sure you'll make the right decision." Guess they want to recruit Clark? A police officer comes to Lois's dorm at 7 in the morning. She's under arrest. There is a tragedy that happens involving a hot tub and alcohol, and the coach is nowhere to be found. Lois introduces herself as "the patsy being framed for what happened to Coop." Clark apologizes for Lois's behavior. "She's been under a lot of stress lately." Lois tells him no, that's not it. "Stress is when you get stuck in traffic, or have a midterm for a class you've never been to. I'm under arrest." "That young lady seems like trouble," Coach Calloway tells Clark, who is trying to calm things down. Geoff Johns and a friend of his named Marcus meet privately, and something is said about Geoff's urine sample being "as pure as the Pope's." Lois and Chloe decide to investigate. Lois comes to Marcus and asks if "anyone knows where to get some clean number-one around here." *Sigh* Lois. How we missed her.
